Jewell 'J.' Copeland, 80, of Memphis, retired teacher from Memphis City Schools after 36
years, died Friday (8/2/02) at Methodist Healthcare-Germantown.
She was a member of Raleigh Baptist Church, Riverside and Pioneer Cloggers, Tennessee
Toe Tappers and American Contract Bridge League and a graduate of the University of
Tennessee-Knoxville and the University of Memphis. She leaves two sisters, Katherine
Colclasure of Memphis and Mary Davis of New Orleans.
Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown.
